>>>The Plan<<<

Base/10 (based on Carl Diehl’s Exquisite Octopus)
A Base/10 project is a CD with 10 tracks. (Or more).
2 (or more) people make it.
After writing an original track of music trade with a friend. Remix your song and their song into a new song. Trade.
Repeat. Remix. until there is a total of 10 cool ass songs.
Base 10 is:
1. Self similar fractal music for the modern man[iac].
2. Endless derivatives, exciting stopping points upon waves of infinitely reproducible digital signals.
3. I want to make jazz with a computer on a post-human scale. We improvise, on digital time. At the speed of light, at our convenience. Make a computer sound beautiful and fragile, make drum machines get drunk and angry, or cower in corners. Why rhythm at all? A solution to our nihilism.
4. Reductive bracketing of the ALL.?
5. Digital technology is the end of cultural redundancy. (Only if we make it so).
6. Digital does not mean slick.
7. Keep things fresh and raw. Like vegetables.
8. Fun. (An answer to your prayers. A pill for the pointlessness.)
9. Spontaneity.
10. Improvisation. (In global exchange time)
It takes a village to raise an information provider.
